In late 2015, concerned residents of Lincoln Park West's 2300 block resolved to take action to protect the future of their homes and the neighborhood as a whole by seeking Landmark District status for the area generally bounded by Lincoln Park West, Fullerton Parkway, and Commonwealth and Belden Avenues. The proposed Landmark District includes 8 historic residential buildings erected between 1907 and 1924. The District features the work of several of Chicago's finest architects of the period, including among others Benjamin Marshall, Dwight H. Perkins, Samuel Nicholas Crowen, and Andrew Sandergren.
